About and method
How the site works and where every number comes from.
What we do
Otimoinvest follows clinical-stage biotech companies and shows where their drug candidates are in development: which studies are running, in which phase, and when the main results are expected. The aim is to help you learn how biotech investing works by following real milestones, not to tell you what to buy.
Where the data comes from
- Clinical studies come from ClinicalTrials.gov, the registry run by the US National Library of Medicine. We list studies where the company is the sponsor and the status is active. Every row links to the study record.
- Dates are the estimated primary completion dates that sponsors report to the registry. Sponsors move them, and results are usually announced later.
- News articles are short summaries of new publications from official sources such as the FDA, the European Medicines Agency, the Federal Reserve, the ECB and the SEC. Each sentence points to the source and is checked against it before publication. Headlines from other publications are listed on company pages and linked to the original; we do not rewrite other people's journalism.
- Explanations in Learn are written from named sources such as the FDA, ClinicalTrials.gov and reference works. Each sentence points to its source, and a second model checks that the source supports it before anything is published.
What we do not do
We give no price targets, no buy or sell recommendations and no predictions of trial outcomes. Nothing here is investment, financial or medical advice. The people behind Otimoinvest may hold shares in companies covered on the site.
Earlier versions
The first version of the site published weekly analyses and rewritten news that were not source-checked. They are kept unchanged in the archive.
